Collagen is one of the most abundant proteins in the human body. In fact, it represents 80% of the proteins in the dermis. It plays an essential role in maintaining the youthfulness of the skin, ensuring its firmness and structure. Our body is naturally capable of producing and renewing its collagen. However, from the age of 25 onwards, this synthesis capacity is diminished and the degradation of collagen is accelerated.
