Absolution - 'The Energizing' Body Brush
Dry brushing boosts circulation, detoxifies the body, exfoliates, helps tackle cellulite and tones the skin. Our Energizing Brush is made with copper bristles, which molecular structure helps to naturally create anions (negative ions), essential to balance out the positive ions generated by stress, pollution and UV rays.
At Absolution, we always love to do a little more, go a little further… So you won’t be surprised to know that the Absolution body brush is a little bit special. It’s made with both natural bristles and copper bristles. The molecular structure of the copper bristles helps to naturally create anions (negative ions), which are needed to balance out the positive ions that bombard our bodies all day long. Negative ions accelerate the delivery of oxygen to cells and tissues. This helps to explain why a long walk by the sea has health benefits. The sea air is rich in negative ions, which improve our mood, energy levels, the quality of our sleep, concentration, and tissue oxygenation. Negative ions may also strengthen our resistance to stress. So why not incorporate a five-minute dry brushing ritual into your health and beauty routine?
How to use it
Body brushing is incredibly simple. Make sure your skin is dry, and always start with the thighs (from the knees to the groin), then brush from the ankles to the knees, and finally all the way up the legs (from the feet to the groin).
Next, move on to the arms (from hands to underarms), then end with clockwise circular motions over the stomach. Don’t forget to always finish your movements in the direction of the nearest grouping of lymph nodes (popliteal fossa, inguinal lymph nodes, axillary lymph nodes in the underarm area) and towards the heart. Tap the brush on a towel to clean it, then take a quick shower.
