N°5, the essence of femininity.
A floral bouquet with aldehyde notes, elegantly presented in an iconic bottle with minimalist lines. A legendary, timeless perfume.
COMPOSITION
The Eau de Parfum is an interpretation of the perfume with the same unique floral-aldehyde signature.
Hesperidia notes enliven the top note of this floral bouquet, which is wrapped around May rose and jasmine. The aldehydes give it a unique presence and the precious warmth of vanilla an infinitely sensual base note.
INSPIRATION
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel commissioned Ernest Beaux to create "a perfume for women with the scent of a woman", unique and powerful. The perfumer presented her with a visionary composition based on the use of aldehydes, which was unknown until then. Mademoiselle chose the fragrance sample with the number 5 and kept this number as a simple name. For this new perfume, she designed a radical bottle decorated with a simple white label and a faceted cabochon. In 1986, Jacques Polge, CHANEL's perfumer since 1978, presented a new interpretation of the olfactory score, a more lively interpretation of N°5: the Eau de Parfum.
THE ART OF PERFUME
The eau de parfum in the spray bottle allows a generous application on the skin or on the lining of clothing in a graceful gesture.
The practical spray bottle always accompanies you in your handbag to refresh the notes of the fragrance at any time you wish.
A complete perfume ritual for the bath and body care refines the aura of the fragrance.
