Composition
The Eau de Parfum is an interpretation of the perfume with the same unique floral-aldehyde signature.

Inspiration
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel commissioned Ernest Beaux to create "a perfume for women with a woman's scent", unique and powerful. The perfumer presents her with a visionary composition based on the previously unknown use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle chooses the fragrance pattern with the number 5 and keeps this number as a simple name. For this new perfume, she designed a radical bottle, adorned with a sober white label and a faceted cabochon. In 1986, Jacques Polge, CHANEL perfumer since 1978, reinterpreted the olfactory score, presenting a livelier interpretation of N°5: the Eau de Parfum.
